WHAT IS PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Permanent makeup are treatments that replicate perfectly applied conventional makeup, most frequently on the brows, lash line, lips, and hairline. This is done by inserting cosmetic pigments into the dermis layer of the skin. Also known as Brow Embroidery, Microblading, Micro-Pigmentation, Permanent Makeup and Cosmetic Tattooing.
WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is a technique where fine lines are etched into the surface of the skin, and pigment is then embedded. The strokes accurately replicate hair (as in a brow or hairline). Results can last from six to 18 months, depending on a variety of factors such as color of pigment, skin type, and lifestyle. The procedure is completed using a hand tool with sterile, precise needles to gently etch natural and realistic looking “hairs” into the skin by implanting pigment beneath the surface of the skin. Microblading can correct and/or reconstruct lost eyebrow shape and structure and is the perfect procedure for those who want to enhance their thinning, aging, or over tweezed eyebrows. Pigments are selected based on skin tone and desired brow color.
WHY PERMANENT MAKEUP?
Permanent makeup is a helpful option for a variety of people whether they are looking for an enhancement and don’t have time to apply makeup every morning or for those who have suffered from hair loss. It is also a great alternative for anyone looking to simplify their beauty routine, whether that’s getting out of bed and spending less time in front of the mirror, going to the gym, in a profession that dictates being in front of the camera or on stage frequently, or even going swimming without having to worry about their makeup coming off. Permanent makeup is also a great option for people who have loss of vision or loss of motor skills due to aging or medical conditions.
IS IT SAFE?
All our pigments are cosmetic grade, meaning that they are sterilized and purified for cosmetic use. The dilution solutions we use are specifically made for permanent makeup. We only use sterile water during the procedure to cleanse the skin. The ingredients used have been approved by the FDA for cosmetic use. Be wary of products that have not met safety standards, including those that contain “vegetable dyes” that are unstable and may change color after time. In addition, all our tools are single-use and discarded after each treatment. Our specialists are highly trained and experienced professionals.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADE PIGMENTATION LAST?
Microblading will typically last around 1 year to 18 months (possibly longer) depending on age (mature/young skin), skin type (normal/dry/oily) and skin care regimen. Each client’s individual color retention will vary. Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure, which means that the pigment isn’t being deposited into the skin as deep as a traditional cosmetic tattooing and will naturally fade over time. Skincare routines also affect the length of the pigment. Clients who tan or use products with Glycolic Acid will fade faster due to constant skin resurfacing. To maintain color richness, a touch up is advised every 12-18 months after the initial procedure.
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
The initial microblading session is approximately 3-3.5 hours. During this, the brow technician will design and shape the client’s eyebrows for client approval. Once both parties are satisfied with the result, numbing is initiated, then the pigment color is selected and the procedure begins.

Please Note: The follow-up session is required for minor touch up and color retention and should be about 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure. This session is approximately 2 hours.
Do I need to shave off my existing eyebrows?
Absolutely NOT! Please do not wax, thread, tweeze, or modify for at least 2 or more weeks prior to your procedure. This is to allow the brow technician to design the most natural looking eyebrow for your face. You may resume your regular brow maintenance once the brows have healed.
Is it painful?... Does it hurt?
Just a little bit… it is less painful and less invasive then traditional tattoos and cosmetic permanent makeup. In most clients, discomfort or pain is minimal due to the use of FDA approved topical anesthetics which provide nearly total numbing of the entire area involved. Swelling is to be expected for a couple days following the procedure.

On a scale of 1 to 10 with “1” being no pain or discomfort; clients often experience between 3 and 4 on a pain scale. Factors such as menstrual cycles also affect level of sensitivity.
I will do my very best to make sure you are comfortable from start to finish.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PROCEDURE?
There is no downtime at all (after the eyebrow treatment). People with very sensitive skin may have a little redness around the brow area, however the redness should subside within 2-3 hours. Each client’s skin is unique and therefore it is difficult to specify the length of time the swelling remains, however, in most cases the swelling subsides within 1 to 3 days.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING THE WEEKS AFTER THE PROCEDURE?
After the eyebrow microblade pigmentation treatment, some changes will occur. Make sure you keep your face and eyebrows clean. Aquaphor is a must for the following 2 weeks or until no longer scabbing. It may have slight drainage, this is normal. Dab dry with a clean and sterile cotton, gauze or tissue. You must follow the aftercare instructions. It will get darker – then lighter. It may scab – do NOT pick at your eyebrows.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
There is no downtime, however the brow will take about one month to fully heal. The brow will soften in color by up to 40-50%. During this period, after-care procedures should be carefully followed.
WHAT IS THE PERFECTING FOLLOW-UP SESSION?
The Perfecting Session is the second half of your procedure, done within two months of the initial treatment, is extremely important to ensure perfect results. We use this session to set the shape and color, and make any small adjustments if needed.
HOW LONG DOES THE RESULT LAST?
For brows, up to 18 months. Hair color, skin type, after-care, and lifestyle also affect longevity of the results. Occasional touch-ups are a way to refresh the results. Done correctly, the treatments do not change color and fade naturally away with time. For areas such as brows, this allows future flexibility with shape, as standards of beauty change. Please note even if not visible to the eye, there will always be vestigial pigment permanently embedded in the skin.
